Winnie Visits the United States
Winnie is currently on a whirlwind tour of Arkansas, New Hampshire, Florida and South Carolina. She is sharing her story to audiences young and old. Recently, in Keene, New Hampshire, Winnie spoke to school children and adults, with her presentation to be broadcast on a local television station.
New Primary Classrooms Constructed
New for 2009, the Alpha Community Academy has constructed two new classrooms for first and second grade. The overall goal is to continue construction up to grade nine. Currently there is an immediate need for grade three, which is coming by January, 2010.
Perimeter Wall Begun...
Our next need is to build a wall around our school which will cost us around $34,000 to complete. The wall will also be also be incorporated into a classroom as one of its outside walls to to save money. This project must be started by June of this year to prevent the government from "reclaiming" unused land. Your financial support is desperately needed. Donate now.
